Construction plans

Countless days have passed since the first battles upon the walls of the cursed villages of the dreaded Natars, many armies of both the free ones and the Natarian empire struggled and died before the walls of the many strongholds from which the Natars had once ruled all creation. Now with the dust settled and as a tentative sense of calm spread among the remaining soldiers, armies began to count their losses and collect their dead, the stench of combat still lingering in the night air, a smell of a slaughter unforgettable in its extent and brutality soon to be dwarfed by yet others. The largest armies of the free tribes were preparing for another attack, and the fearsome Natars were marshalling their defences for yet another renewed assault upon the coveted former strongholds of the Natarian Empire.

Soon, scouts arrived with tales of a most awesome sight and a chilling reminder; a dreaded army of an unfathomable size had been spotted treading its path towards the very end of the world, the Natarian capital, a force so great that the dust from their march would choke off all light, a force so brutal and ruthless that it would crush all hope. The free people knew thay they had to do the impossible; race against time and the endless hordes of the Natarian Empire to raise a Wonder of the World in order to restore peace to the world and vanquish the Natarian threat once and for all.

But to raise such a great Wonder would be no easy task; one would need construction plans created and long forgotten in the distant past, plans of such an arcane nature that even the very wisest of sages knew not their contents or locations.

Tens of thousands of scouts roamed across all existence searching in vain for these mystical plans, looking in all places but the dreaded Natarian Capital, yet could not find them. Today however, they return baring good news; the locations of the plans have finally been discovered, concealed by the armies of the Natars inside secret strongholds, purposefully constructed to be hidden from the eyes of man.

Now begins the final stretch, when the greatest armies of the free peoples and the Natars will clash upon the largest battlefields of the world to decide the fate of all that lies under heaven. Sword against sword, this is the war that will echo across the eons; this is your war, and here you shall etch your name across history. Here you shall become legend...

Facts:To steal one, the following things must happen:

You must attack the village (NO Raid!)

WIN the Attack

Destroy the treasury

Hero must participate in an attack

an empty Treasury lvl 10 MUST be in the village where that attack came from

An empty treasury level 10 MUST be in the village where that attack came from

If not, the next attack on that village, winning with a hero and empty treasury will take the building plan.

To build a WW, you must own a plan yourself (you = the WW village owner) from level 0 to 49, from 50 to 100 you need an additional plan, belonging to a player in your alliance! Two Plans in the WW village account won´t work!

Matrix is one of the best account in the server

This is a slow international server 10 and is using beta T4 version. So we are talking for a year fighting in the battle field.

I really salute with the guy playing on matrix account. He is trying to tell to everyone that not only gold plus player can achieved higher points in attacking and or even hero. Believe me, during endgame and is you are WW holder, you really need gold to speed up things.

I actually played with him in champs server and not knowing after I made an interview. This guy "I will call him matrix" is absoultely stunning on how he played in the game. When I was logging on on his account, he warned me right away that I could not find any archive battle reports since it is not a plus account. It just strike in my mind that ohhh- I am pretty much abusing in using gold. I can't play without gold. Because in the midlle of the game, I stop farming and waiting only for own resources to build up.

Since he is not a plus acc, he urged himself to kill his troops during the war to free up some crops. This could be done much in offense teuton though.

Oh I will finish this post...my kids asking to play in hthe computer.

surprisingly low key for travian alliance ascii. My suggestion - add giant sword so the sin of actualy non-tacky ascii is avoided.

alliance name in ascii - greatest way to leave your mark in every server.

Insert defense for same second attacks

OK, I admit, the title is slight marketing ploy :P

The notion of "second cannot be split" is core concept of travian. So if your opponent is good in sending waves, you are deeply screwed. If you are good in sending waves, your enemies are deeply screwed.

And yet. there is one case when same second defense inserts (sometimes called "cuts" or "snipes") can be and need to be done.
(read when and how further in post)

That is very specific situation and requires not just ability to time defense very well, but also a bit of luck with locations and online times. Let me tell you, but first, here you go, same second insert screenshot:

Now about the situation when you should aim for same sec snipe:
When attacker has taken fancy in visiting your villages with chiefs one after another and due any reasons you are unable to gather an anvil. For it to work there are prerequisites:

-attackers hammer village is further away then closer villages
-you have own villages/ally/friend village with travel time to make it faster then hammer, but slower then following chiefs

what you should do?
As soon as you see the first attack pop up, ask/send defense that will become the snipe. Do it as soon as it is possible, before second attack appears. Aim for same second as the incoming attack.

How it works?
Travian stacks things. So if many attacks/defenses land in same second, their order is same as sending - first to send will be first to land.
So hammer will come first, then defense you sent even BEFORE second attack poped up, and then second attack that will hopefully be inserted, leaving attacker in surprised state.

If attacker is coming after more then one village, snipe all of them. Better to send few spare inserts then not send them where needed.

defending basics 4/4: sending troops home

When all is said and done and attack/danger has passed, its not all over for defender...

Sending back troops from an anwil may be done in different ways according to situation.

Slow
used when certain level of defense is needed to be maintained. the troops are sent back as new reinforcements arrive so maintaining the desired strenght.

Dismissing anwil
Just send back all troops gathered once the attack has landed and intel supports that danger is over.

Sneaky scout anwil
If the danger becomes minimal, anvil can be released, leaving back few k defenders, but LOADS of scouts to fend of the possible scouting attacks.

troops sent back can be:
- Horses (to help manage the crop levels. Horses are also the fastest troops, so sending them back lets the owner of horses use them as efficient sniping tools or to deploy them fast to other defense calls)
- specific troop type to match predicted attack composition (for example, if you expect cavalry hit, you leave the troops with best anti cavalry defense)
- closest troops. Tehnicaly, look at troop travel times back to their origin village and send back the ones with shortest travel times, so it eases the crop burden, but same time they can be resent if attacks pop up

Sending the troops back

While sending the troops back there are 2 things to keep in mind:
1) dont starve them. Some defender providers have negative crop at their villages so you have to keep in mind who has IGMed you to not send troops back without notice. Also it is wise to contact players who have sent big amount of defenders and ask them if crop wont be a problem and when they are to be sent home
2) dont delay. Tehnicaly the best praxis is to split returning troops by types, send horses back seperately from infantry and hero seperately. So the horses, who are fast, dont get delayed by SLOOOWWW infantry

Defending basics 3/4: feeding the troops

Feeding the anvil...

so... the nightmare, the walk in hell... the grant for survival of anvil - feeding it.
The keeping troops feed is biggest challenge in any anvil. lets see how to do it.

before doing anything relax. Don't look at crop count decreasing like seconds. calm head is needed. If you are plus user, under village overview you will see how much time until crop reaches 0 you have. If starvation is already happening, don't panic either. Brown matter has hit the fan, no need to make it worse ;) take a deep breath and remember what is written here.

there are 2 dangers in any anvil crop management.
Starvation.
Once the crop hits 0, troops start slowly to die. Any troop died produces some crop (don't ask how, I wont go in to cannibalistic aspect). Starving troops is waste & unefficient way to loose them so starvation should be avoided by any costs.

the key to ensure that troops do not starve is managing cropflow. the key to success isnt rally in 1 h all crop you can. The key is to ensure constant supply of crop.

The crop sources to anvil:
Own crop: crop produced in village where the anvil is, the crop produced in other villages & shipped to anvil village. Main tool to operate with when managing cropflow.

Crop from people having troops in anvil: people having troops in other players villages should feed them. full stop. unless there is another deal with the anvil holder, you have to feed your troops.

crop from alliance mates: often when anvil is set, due to crop stock suplies of people providing defense troops, travel times etc, additional crop is asked to alliance mates not having troops in village.

crop from NPC: for gold users it is real relief. The NPC allows convert other resources to vital crop. You can ship in other res from other cities if you do not have troops & NPC it to crop.
To do it most efficiently, NPC when granary is almost empty & click on crop icon in NPC table, it will give max crop outcome possible.

crop from markethiding & marketriding: look below in tips & tricks section

Owerflow
Less damaging than starvation but is terrible waste of precious resources. Happens when incoming crop supplies is bigger than granary capacity.

how to deal with it:

order some building that takes crop. If later situation gets desperate, building can be canceled, giving back some of resources used to order building. Not pretty effective, but handy to know in case of desperate need.
send crop to own villages. Send some part of crop to close own village so it later can be sent back to anvil. Check if other village has place for it ;)
Do markethiding.

Tips & tricks
Markethiding
Use of trade system to hide some resources if you need to store slightly more crop than you have storage place. When you see overflow approaching, use anvils villages merchants to set up trades offering crop. Set the limits so people are not able/likely to take it.

Usually I:
- set crop:other resources at ratio 1:2 so it is less appealing
- set it as alliance only trade
- set time limit to 1 h

Setting up those trades removes crop offered from granary and once you need it, just go to marketplace>offers & cancel the offer by pressing red cross. Crop will immediately return to granary and will be used to feed troops.

Marketriding
Using marketplace offers to cover small holes in supply of crop that you see coming. Technically, you calculate around what time anvil will run out of crop, then browse marketplace looking for people offering crop with travel time that makes crop arrive exactly when needed, so fighting starvation, but preventing overflow.

the good anvil is more then bunch of sheeps waiting to be slaughtered... think of anvil as fort - defensive unit that consists of troops, buildings, bonuses & human behind it.

Most important thing after human & troops are infrastructure.

-residence/palace - gives small defense bonuss. Not pretty important in defending against OMGWTF hammers, but pretty nice damage doers when dealing with cata waves, especialy unescorted. Might seriosly help to snipe cata waves. Also extremely important when defending against chiefting attacks

-wall. SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT DEFENSIVE BUILDING. It gives defense bonus to all troops inside. The bonus depends on tribe, but the conclusion is one - BUILD WALL. you should have decent level wall already, but since the moment it becomes clear to you that you will host anvil, put wall as top of the building priorities.

-granary. Granary do not give defense bonus or points. It gives something as important - the ability to feed your anvil. More crop you can store, more space to maneuver you have.

- marketplace/rallypoint. Marketplace is needed for a) to see what crop you have incoming and take measures to ensure the feeding of anvil b) to use own merchants to do some anvil feeding tricks (look in post about anvil feeding to see how). Rallypoint lvl 1 is needed to monitor incoming reins & attacks and to see what threats incoming attacks bring.

Defending basics 1/4: setting up

Anvil - gathering of defensive troops ment to kill the hammers
I have seen defense gathering called in many ways, but I will use 'anvil'.

Seting up good anvil and holding it is one of the key things in travian. Now to expand the knowledge, here is things I took in to account when setting up, hosting & dismissing anvils.

Lets start with setting up.
First you evaluate the attack. Evaluation of incoming attacks is science per se and worth a separate post. Someday I might get to writing that too. But here let me tell you few things about setting up an anvil.

Please remember that I am not claiming to have final truth, best way or anything like that here. I am sure there is more ways to do stuff, but to know more hurts no one ;)

So... seting up an anvil

Anvils usualy are set up either by

*just send*
when city needing defense is under small scale attacks where single arriving reins can stop attacker alone.

Usualy what is asked is "Reinforcements to HERE"

This way is bad for cases where attacker is stronger, because then reins arriving one by one are easy targets to become hero food. Generaly bad way of setting an anvil - a sign of lack of competence and due diligence from defense coordinators (I can immagine few cases where it would work tho and be most efficient way)

*send before*
this usualy are used when attack landing time is known and the call is for any reins that can make it on time.

Usually what is asked is "Reinforcements to HERE to land BEFORE XX:XX"

technically in this case, if you can make it in time, send. And send as close to attack landing time as possible to ease the crop burden.. This is defense call when potential hammer is identified and now alliance needs to gather maximum defense to properly kill the attacker.

*Anvil forming at*
In this case target usualy are under constant attacks. When calling this anvil, calculate most likely attack landing time (example - attack is landing in 4 h, travel time of attacker is 5 h - means he can come for second go in 14h (4h till lands, 5 h travel back home, 5h travel back to you) - call an anvil to land 10 to 13h from now)

Usually what is asked is "Reinforcements to HERE to land AFTER XX:XX and BEFORE YY:YY"

In this case I send even if due to RL or travel times I am a bit before or after. Imho 1 h +/- is ok, but in this case be ready that your reins if sent to arive before anvil setting time can be killed alone.

*Sniping* or *splitting the waves*
Sniping or splitting the waves is *poor peoples anvil* ;) j/k. its when the reinforcements are called to split the waves.
When it is done? When
(a) attacker has left at least second between waves (more is better)
(b) the prognosis says that alliance cannot form anvil to kill the cleaner.

Usualy when calling for sniping, the rallypoint c&p are given so people know where to slip their reinforcements in.

Remember that first waves could be fakes so dont focus on sniping in first biggest gap. if you do sniping from multiple villages, aim that each village snipes in different window.
Also sniping can be good additional tehnique to any of above. Call for anvil and same time close people or active people or simply the ones who are online at time when reins need to be sent, does sniping, so in case if the anvil is killed, the cata/senators are killed anyways ;)

We all know how unique/large diet arties are supposed to be used for maximum benefit, right?

In case if you do not know - hold it and create storage villages for allies where they can send their troops and feed them there, using the diminished crop consumption.

One thing is theory, but I will be honest, seeing how it was used in last championship server made me quite jelous. Since server is over, there is no harm in sharing screenshots. Screenshots is obtained when russian group was having inner quarells and unique diet holder put them out on forum. They were removed minutes later, but screencapturing technology allowed to save it for future generations and inspiration when handling diet artifacts.

Morale - If you have this artifact - use it well.
If enemy has it - dont let enemy get comfy... Ensure ALWAYS a fake or few coming to diet arty holders villages. Then they are either forced to move around troops or to defend or dismiss a attack as fake, opening oportunity for combat operation ;)
Also the locations of those feeding villages might give you clue who stores troops there. Knowledge is power in travian too.

to me it came as a bit of surprise. Silly, I know, but i have never been good in that html tag thing. I assume its not just me not knowing that until some kind heart shares the knowledge (thanks, Mari!)

How to train your alliance

Unless you're among real lucky ones, in your alliance, there will be certain portion of newbies and/or panickers. When they are attacked, its quite a challenge.

Among the messages i "love" the most are ones of this kind

There is just one other type of messages I "love" even more. And its this type:

followed by closing travian without assigning sitters or giving any bit of information.

Sometimes people just cannot be bothered, sometimes they do not know how to evaluate attacks. For alliances I have been in leadership, there is little something that has worked as charm in weeding out panicky cries. And its simple and ugly flowchart to help people estimate dangers. Its not 100 % accurate, but it has helped me a lot, so possibly can help for someone else too.

it weeds out most raiding attacks and also teaches the basics of evaluating danger of attacks.
If your alliance has players new to travian or ones who has had not the pleasure to be part of alliance that educates the members, consider sharing this one or finding own way to teach members those basics.

comx is at T4 version-hero adventure

Comx is on the first round of t4 version. There are so many old players left on the game and some of them as well stay and find out what is T4 about.

Since the account am logging on is an observer acc and so, I dont care if someone saw my stuff. There is nothing that you can get in my account aside from resources.

Alright, my hero is quiet has many stuff- I got it when I send him to an adventure or I got it from auctions. The gold and silver exchange is pretty much expensive. Sometimes, you can loot silvers as well during adventure.

Light scale armor will give you Damage reduce to 4 health points and give 20 health points per day. Look in my hero, he is wearing the 40 health points per day. My hero right now is injured from his adventure.

Tips:

1. If you send your hero for an adventure or to any villages that has armies to kill. Make it sure that you equipped him with the right armor.

Troubleshooting

Here are some quite common mishaps and some solutions to them:

- Our WW hammer owner not smartly lost his hero!!!! He has to send in 4 h!

solution: for all that's beautifull in this world, DO NOT REVIVE!

Make fast and cheap hero and use it – kill scouts/clubbies in oasis.There is not so much scouts/clubbies needed to get hero full offense bonus again!

- While feeding WW we sent it to other side of the world!!!!! On 3x!!!!!!

solution: once merchants are out, they're out... you cannot do anything about first time. But before they return to go to return trip,empty the village from the resource merchants are triggered to carry. They wont go then ;)

Before it ends

Doesn't matter you win or enemy has queued WW lvl 100...All good things must come to an end.

Remember that in the end of server technically everyone gets banned.

So if you want to change sitters, ally name, recall spies etc...

Do it before server end – you wont be able to do it after.

Word of warning – the common habit is to share WW holders and awesome acc passes after server ends. By all means do so, but before that move out gold from your acc and accs you sit for. I had a case where the gold was stolen. The thief didn't got to enjoy it because they abused the trust of one of biggest player groups in travian at the time, but nonetheless it was cringeworthy.

we talked about getting WW, building, attacking and defending ww. Now...

WW &artifacts

With implementation of artifacts it added new tactical and planning dimension to WW race. There is few artifacts that can be used for WW race, and few techniques on how to use them. let me first run through artifacts and give short verdict on them.

Important - you cant build treasury at WW village so to protect it too you need large artifact with account wide scope.

list of artifacts that could be useful at ww race:

The architects'secret

great: This artefact gives your village a protection against catapults and rams. It makes buildings and walls 3x more stable.

unique: This artefact gives your village a protection against catapults and rams. It makes buildings and walls 5x more stable.

Verdict: Most wished and most used WW artifact. Hands down best to protect WW. If you have one its first choice for WW (solo or combo). Unique is single best WW artifact so... if you want ww win, consider putting some effort to get it. It will limit damage enemy hammers make so in mid game do all you canto not loose them to enemy ;) on other hand if you can snatch one from opponents- good for you!

The eagles eyes

This artefact makes your scouts Xx stronger than normal. All scouts in the village as well as all scouts sent for spying from this village are affected. Additional you can see the type of troops attacking you at your rally point, but not the amount of troops.

Doesn't matter large or unique - only thing that matter is that it allows you to see incoming troop types. With eyes arty you can (a) up defense/kill attacker when hero attacking with hammer pops up (b) monitor attacks on your artifacts - look out for hero.

Verdict: depends on preferences. I love WWs with eyes. Some people dont see sense in it. Unless eyes is only endgame arty you have, use it in combo.

Rivals unique confusion

This artefact increases the capacity of crannies by 500x. Additional effect: Catapults can only shoot random on villages within artefacts power. Exceptions for the village and account artefact's are WW and Treasury. Exception for the unique artifact is only the WW.

Also endgame arty.Throws off aim enemy hammers so technically they might end up destroying MP instead of GWH. I have not checked it myself, but people who checked says that even with random aim if you aimed to structures inside village, it will shoot to structures inside village,so there is little chance that hammer aiming to GWH will flatten clay pit.Unique one protects Treasuries, so it can serve as additional defense to plans and WW arties.

Verdict: Use it if you dont have architects. And pray to travian gods they give you some luck. And fill all spots with buildings...maybe it will help. Can be used solo and combo.

Solo &combo arty usage

its pretty simple...

Solo artifact -one large arty per WW account. Put it in acc, wait to activate and enjoy.

Combo artifact - abit more sneaky and bit headachy technique. Still very efficient because allows you to switch between artifacts as needed. I will going bit deeper on it.

How to get 2 large arties in one WW account?

You cant get with your hero 2 large arties, so you need to use backdoor so to say. Someone from alliance donates village (look it to be away from enemies, so their hammers travel longer and close to your players), gets lvl20 treasury there and grabs the artifact you want as second in WW account. then WW holder chief village.Voila, 2 large arties in one account.

How to switch between using them?

first you need both of them to be in chieftable villages, so even before you chief second large arty, move first to villa that is not place where significant amount of troops come from.

now the terms -"primary arty" = arty whose powers are working; "sleeping arty"= artifact whose powers isnt working because it is newest one - game mechanics is that artifact longer in account is active and newest one isnt."Longer in account" - kinda imprecise term because self chiefting village reset timer, making older one newer and newer becomes acitve older.

you will switch artifacts powers by use of chiefs. I think easiest way to explain it is by an example:

WW holder. 2arties.

primary arty- eyes, sleeping arty - architects.

You see dangerous hero attack on ww and need to turn on currently sleeping arty - architects.

Send chiefs to rechief currently active eyes arty. Self chiefting will reset timer on eyes and architects will become active.

For eyes artifact activisation time count down will start. After time required for artifact you put to sleep (eyes) to activate, it will become sleeping arty that you can activate again (after attacks has landed) by self chiefting architects arty.

How to defend WW

Make no mistake, 99% chance is your WW will be attacked. But it is up to you to defend it.

First and most important is defenses. You defend WW like no other village and only thing limiting amount of defense there is your alliances ability to send crop and def. More is better, but don't get too WW defending happy - you need to maintain alliances ability to defend themselves. Generaly I suggest to think along those lines:

First ask for certain % of existing defense. % may vary from 20 to 50 %, depending on

your alliances set up, off/def structure and activity. Only you yourself will feel the limit here. This defense will never return back so they are immediately to be replaced by building new units.
Second, ask players to devote certain amount of villages (when i played as defender i devoted ~20 villas, when i played off it was 8 villas) that produce lvl20 single crop def unit using all resources given village produces. Every day new defenders are ordered and built ones shipped to ww. Implement this system alliance wide and keep an eye on people really doing this.
Third react to poping up attacks. As soon as you see dangerous looking incomings or sets of incomings make alliance wide call for horse defenses. Later you can ask to withdraw them or send home them yourself. this boost of def will be crucial to limiting the damage.
Forth, worry not about natar attacks… theyre nasty in terms of troops killed, but since they came in 2 waves and with small amount of siege, they wont do damage. If they do, youre doing the defending WW part wrong. There is a chance that enemy will time his hammers to land after natars, to use damage what natars do to defenders to their profit - but honestly never seen it done - due to natars travel time (24h if i am not wrong, its not always doable)

Also, do not forget about heroes… your alliance has sent them there. With each attack they will level up (well depending on hero initial level) do not forget to run MMs asking to check heros and assign points. Most of guides ask to assign points just to defense bonus %.I am more believer of def bonus + regeneration. If regeneration is low, string of hammers will kill heros… and I rather have heros with 16% bonus and alive then with 20% bonus and dead and to be revived for days :S

Best defense is offense... sometimes;)

This point depends greatly on alliance you have, artifacts you possess and hammers you control.

The key here is that if attacking village goes puff (0poped or chiefted), troops created there disappears too. So,technically there is no cheaper way how to kill incoming hammer then killing a village it comes from.

The application of said method depends on many variables:

opponent - how experienced they are? Experienced players will know what you intend to do and do all they can to stop you from it. So prepare for wave snipes, changing capitals and simple defense wall. Do he has personal defenders? they most likely will snipe and defend more furious then alliance ones.
opponents alliance. How stretched are they with defense and crop? If they have regular starvation and Intel says their ww holders keep begging for defense, there is good chance you'll remove the village because they have lost battle in their own peoples mind and none will care about one more call for def.
time. Can you make it in time before the hammer lands on ww to the attackers village? Maybe consider moving boots artifact to cata rich account/village. Then have booted player send catas and later add cleaners - hammers without catas or ghost hammers or whatever you can scrape to arrive on time.
hammers available. Do you have hammers and cata power to do it? is it wise to use offense this way? The chances to get offense killed/damaged are high, so loosing of hammers sent to this op should not mean your ally lost best ww hitter (unless lvl 100 is in queue and there is a risk that your mighty hammer will meet server end home)

Some notes:

In this strategy never rely on chiefting(unless you want it to look like 2 fakes ;)) always go for 0 pop because i find it hard to imagine player whose non cap WW hammer are en route to ww and they get incomings and dont change capitals.

Option B - if you cant make it disappear,make hammer smaller. Starve it. Call alliance wide MM with hammer villages coords and oasis coords and capital coords (works best if you have multiple hammers incoming and the targets are more then few) and ask for expendable horses raids. Aim is to by all means steal their crop and fcuk ability to feed monster on road. If you run -400k negative, emptied village is serious OUCH and troops dying speed is impressive.

If you defend your WW offensively, when choosing among multiple hammers, consider going first priority after rammer. If you take rammer off the picture, following hammers might do a way less damage.Or roman hammer whom you suspect has most catas – roman catas are ouch!

You can look to post in this blog how bea was fighting for her hammer to stay alive to land on WW at qualification server. Well... I was on opposing side, trying to make it disappear ;) and if we would have suceded server would have ended quite sooner. Look for that here

in previous part we talked about how to get ww and what to build. now its time to knock oponents out.

Attacking WW

Attacking enemy WW & doing it correctly is path to victory in WW race. Failed attack can mean end of your hopes, succesfull one can knock out your opponents off race.

the key to WW attacks is that you need to lay foundations to succesfull attacks in the very beggining of server. Alliance needs WW hammers. I will not turn into details about hammer building, that is covered in many other guides.

there is few things you need to remember in WW offensive campaign as...

individual player attacking:

1)this is one way trip. None of your hammer will return. And more likely you wont even get full battlereport. Thats the specifics of WW attacks. So you send all. Even those 3 chiefs. even those 23 spears you made by mistake.

2) Use all bonuses available. all server long pay attention to hero bonuses. you will need all off bonuses. priority is offense % bonus - get it to maximum.

as player not involved in current attack:

1) follow orders. If fakes are asked -send them. send them often.

2) if something seemingly weird is asked -confirm its really asked not a mistake and do it and only after ask questions.

3) if resources is asked to some other village not WW - still send them. that village could be home for OMGWTF hammer that marches against your enemies now.

as attacks planner:

attack order - wall breakers rammers-smaller cata armies - larger cata armes - ww hit if needed. I have seen WW attack rounds where last were armies not rich in catas, obviously in hopes that previous armies would have dented defense at WW and they would do damage...Decision is up to defense amounts at WW - if its bad defended you can try this, but if its well defended i would get those hammers ok in troop size but small in catas to run right after rammer so they lower overall defense amount and clear path for real damage doers.

One thing you will have to decide is weather double aim or not. Double aim might allow you to skim upper levels of GWHs that takes longer to rebuild, but single aim increases damage done to that single target. Any WW specifically hitting hammers should be single-aimed. Any hit on well defended WW should be single aimed. Any hit from army smaller then 10k cats should be single-aimed.

Consider trying to time your attacks after natar attacks - they will deplete defense and ease the road for your hammers. But due to natars travel time, its not as easy done as it sounds.

How to find out what defense enemy WW has...

forget about scouting... youll need those scouts for other goals... clubbies are cheaper ;)

Raid enemy WW - around 10k clubbies sent on raid in most cases will get back with report even from best defended WW. For the love of all that's fair and nice, even don't think about seperating 10kclubbies from hamer for this... Use those raiding armies ;) Once you have def numbers, play with combatsim. put your armies against it and seek the optimum layout.

How to pee in WW cornflakes

during WW race there are few other points when some sticks can be thrown in opponents wheels:

1) wwvillage shortly after conquering. If timed few h after conquering, even few k cleaner + 500 catas will do damage. Suggested cata targets: MB, cropfields. good way to utilize small catarich hammers. Can be sent even before WW is conquered, asap you know it will be enemy ww.

2) WW support villages. Most cases they wont be defended or will be defended not seriously. Purrfect target for small players with little offenses ;). cata aim: granaries, marketplaces, trade office, warehouses

3) enemy alliance - cata happily all enemy alliance cities. It will make noob players recall their defenses from WW

4) chief along! Have spare chiefs around? In WW race have fun, team with alliance mates and happily chief enemy croppers one by one. Apart from fall in morale there is puff bonus - any troops be it defense or offense connected to village goes puff after it is conquered ;)

5) annoy them with single cata reins from multiple villages. Senators are bad in defense and eat like pigs too. ECs,rams… send that as reins to enemy ww. First it will clog their rp, making managing incoming attacks harder, second, it will use up precious crop.

6) Name your villages after enemy WW and feeders. If people will use names, not links or coordinates, they will surely send some goodies – def, crop and res your way. Profit! Don’t forget to remind your players to always use links or coords.

We have WW!!!!

Yay to you! now the hardest part starts

As you conquer natar village, those not smart npc natars are building cranny... LOL, you wont need it, start to destroy it.

Now. remember WW race sometimes is race of minutes and hours. SO you DON'T HAVE any time to waste on unneeded stuff. one of most met mistakes is building residence. Yes, it makes loyalty grow, but let me be blatantly rude -if your ww is so bad defended that attacking chief will survive... you dont need this guide at all. Only justification to build residence is if at very beggining after you chief it there is scary looking attack and you know you wont get enough def by that time. The build resi and brace for impact - hope attacker didn't set catas or forgot to aim residence. WW will work perfectly even with 0 % loyalty.

DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT build any other things! You don't need anything else. If you build anything else you are wasting your precious time!

Few common mistakes i have seen:

- lets build residence! Loyalty is 0! We need loyal WW! Answer: loyalty at ww don't matter unless you plan to let all your defense be wiped. Only time when i agree residence can be built is if you take WW and see another team coming for it.Then you might pray they didn't sent catas and build residence so their chiefs bounce even if they manage to wipe defense. Also if there is another team coming and you fear they aimed resi and might accidentally kill something useful.

- Lets build MP to higher levels! Then we can ship out excess crop to feeders! It will do us good!Answer: get your hands off marketplace. Saving few k crop versus precious minutes in WW race? Let crop overflow... accept that there will be both overflows and episodes of starvation in WW and don't sacrifice precious time for imagined gain.

- Lets build barracks! Then we can build troops and raid others for crop! Answer: no matter how crazy it sounds, i have heard that proposal. Trust me here... DON'T

what appart storage will you need?

1)marketplace.To manage crop & resources you need to know what’s coming. So get MP to lvl1. It is fast to build even with lvl10 MB you get when conquer natars village,so get it before all rest

2)rally point.You need lvl 1 rally point to see what’s coming your way. It is fast to build even with lvl10 MB you get when conquer natars village, so get it before all rest. Kick out vampire heroes! Your opponents + various kinds of noobs will send you single heroes to leech on xp. Send them away, xp will be needed for your own alliance heros. Also small pee in cornflakes is to send catas – they eat like pig and use valuable crop.

3)MB to lvl 20. There is no instant build in WW village, so 20 level main building is only chance to speed up building process.

4) wall. Wall gives defense bonus and upping it to lvl 20 is mandatory.

Then it is decision time. Storage. How many GWHs, how many GGs? Maybe WHs? What level?

When you chief WW, unless there were accidents involving catas, you'll get it with following storage buildings:

1 WH lvl 20

1 WH lvl 10

1 G lvl 20

2 G lvl 10

This is basis for you to work with. You will need 1million of resources (each) and 193630 crop to queue WW lvl 100. How you achieve this capacity is question of your strategy - GWHS and GGs, many WHs or mix of both...remember WW has 15 building spots, so open that travian FAQ and dive in to numbers to find mix of capacity and building time that suits your goals. Discuss it in alliance leadership. Look at help.travian.com for data. search for WW screenshots & look what they have.

Here is googledoc i made for one server, proposing different alternatives. You can look there to get an idea how it could be done.Those are by far not the only ways or even not the best ways most likely.Whatever rows your boat ;) It is done assuming buildings above is not cataed.

Note: since goal of doc was to compare the alternatives not to see exact times when things will be built, the times isnt halved. Build times in WW are half of normal, remember that. Why they put in FAQ the full WW times is beyond me – like you could build WW in non WW village:P

What you choose greatly depends on server, situation and preferences... There is no correct answer and there is no wrong ones. Plan.Estimate. How often you will get hit? How big are armies? If you think it will be bloodbath – maybe seek one where there are more buildings but with lower level? Will attackers aim GWH or WH? Maybe leave finishing GWH for last, keep it lvl 1 so attackers can proudly brag they used 10k catas to off lvl 1 GWH? Or there is chance you will slip through unnoticed? Then go for fastest route possible. This part is very dependant on server and political situation so you will have to figure it yourself...

Another important decision is crop storage capacity - you need just200k to order last lvls of WW, but with just 200k granary space you'll crawl walls when feeding it... in short look to your alliance - if they're disciplined and motivated - you can try lower levels of granaries. If you suspect youll have activity and motivational issues when sending crop - consider getting higher lvls so you have more reaction time and can stockpile some crop. from what i have seen crop storage in WW vary from400k to shocking over million. And atm as i am writing it, we are feeding minus6 million crop with lill below 200k granary. Really, this depends on how good your sitter team is and how good the alliance is. On other hand – don't jump higher then your navel – if you feel you will need more granary space, make it... Better waste some time, then burn out WW team and supporters who will see troops dying in hunger.

Now, about catatargets… Albeit logics suggest to build more lvl 1 GGs & GWHs & WHs & Gs so in case of hit there is a chance that hit will go to them not to important ones, I have never seen that happening... SO IMHO only goal of filling all spots is to make deceiving screenshots ;)

Crop. Important issue in WW site will be crop unless your WW holder is roman. And not just crop to feed defenders but also crop produced by cropfields. Otherwise you will get lack of food message trying to build something. Imagine that happening when queing WW lvl 100? So keep in mind that everything you build not just takes precious time but also uses precious crop. WW alone takes 550 crop, add to it infrastructure. Since there is no one correct way to build up Infrastructure, there is no single count of crop needed to support it. Once you have decided on infrastructure, calculate crop for it and cropfields needed to support it. Don't forget to activate gold bonus for crop!

About building order... It is another thing where the reality of server might make you change plans to fit situation.Overall, my suggestion is as follows: start with infrastructural buildings – MP and RP. You need them to manage WW. It will take minutes. Afterwards my suggestion is MB/wall – if you have no attacks, and don't think you'll get serious ones, get MB first. It will skim off building times from all the rest. After wall and MB –I suggest go for granaries – will ease defense feeding. After that – WH, cropfields and WW itself ;)

Another issue you have to decide – how you will build it. There is 2 strategies, one i call „limping bunny” and other is „sneaky fox”

Limping bunny

Start build WW as soon as you get plans. Pause to build up storage. Spread rumor that your WW team is noobs and have messed totaly up storage. For example built 5 GG and 6 WH... Whatever bullshit you can immagine. Try to create idea that something is really really wrong in that ww.Maybe that some sitters went building happy and built all ironmines on teutonww. More stupid you look, better for you – less likely you'll be marked as prime target for others. The trouble here is that you will have to manage the story for your aliance too. People are „see&believe”, it might be challenge to keep peoples attention, crop and def if your WW is lagging behind, even if objectively it is way in front with all infra.

Sneaky fox

Get all infrastructure ready before building WW. Then as soon as you start building ww, build it up till the end. Fairytale for public – aww, we are just decoy, we will still have to pause to finish storage,plant a disgruntled member whining that ww team is stupid, racing with ww when they have yet no storage and thus looking most highest lvl...

Those are by far not the best and not the only strategies... look for one yourself.Remember – deceit, decoy and PR – when you are weak, make them see you strong.When you are strong, make them think you are weak and not a threat. Play smart,spin public opinion. Remember, you gotta spin even opinion of allies and„friends” – no use for elaborate ruse if there is somewhere skype logs with you bragging to buddy from other server.

Some notes on WW catering:

1) you need almost 24h coverage for that account. 2 sitters &owner is not enough so trash your msn, skype & mailbox for hardcoretravianers that have retired or are not playing on this server and try to lure them in to dualing ;) Of course, look for trust able persons! Keep in mind that veteran players will run from WW duties like devil from cross

2)get gold. WW account will need gold and a lot of it. Sitter can buy gold...

3) feeding WW.Feeding WW defenders is one of greatest challenges in endgame. Some starvation is unavoidable but its WW teams job to manage crop. Remember that villages WWholder settled right next to WW, depot ones? Now its their time to shine ;) Ask for resources shipments from alliance members to them, npc res to crop &ship in WW. Seek out the tools to help you predict starvation times (and no,plus overview isn't enough, i have run WW where full granaries offered just some2 minutes of crop, but in reality incoming crop was good for over 2 h without starvation) I deeply discourage usage of any script or ad don for it. There is plenty of tools out there who will analyse MP copy and paste, look to gettertools WW croptool for example. Gettertools croptool has another benefit -it gives a link that can be MMed or put on skypechat to all alliance so players see when holes in supply line is and kick in with their crop. Dont worry, the tool dont give out real numbers, just % of how full the granary is. Tho I strongly suggest talk to veteran players. There are some AWESOME custom parsers around because honestly, getter one is awesome, but lacks precision, imho.

4) defending WW. Look at defense rate and decide what troops you will keep. If your alliance is def based and defenders income is good, kick all not 1 crop troops out. kick out all non defensive units.

5) incoming attacks analysing. You will need to know what is coming your way & react accordingly. use one of many attacks analysing tools out there. Mark landed ones. Archive attack reports. Make screenshots of them. Countermeasures to attacks - later.

6) utilize WW holders sitter spots. Since there is no limit to transfer to WW village - resources can be transferred even between accounts connected by sitting, find 2 players with developed croppers really close to WW and make WW holder their sitter. It will help WW holder to deal with crop crisis more efficient.

7) set up &utilize communication tools. Skype public chat is good for WW team, alliance leadership & trusted feeder players. That will let you to coordinate actions, react fast, exchange info.

8) Don't forget rest of alliance! Many alliances during endgame tend to forget about rest players.... But actually they are the ones bringing victory to WW. They need to feed WW with crop religiously, train & send defenders,attack & defend. Inform them about whats going on!! I as WW sitter used to make thank you note and send daily to ~50 random players from reports on WW account (care full, not send them to attackers). here you can let run your immagination - vary those notes from simple thank you to elaborate stories and even collection of interesting links about endgame, poems or links to small time killer games. whatever rows your boat, really. Easiest way to do it is to open reports in WW acc, right click on report, open it on new tab or open MP/RP and click on senders. Open all reports in page, go to next, repeat. Then go to tabs, click on senders name and sent TY note. Rinse&repeat. Try to remember whom you already sent a note to avoid double sending.

Cyp's beginners guide to endgame: part 1 before it starts and how to get ww

I have seen many guides... guides to offensive gauls, guides to defensive teutons, political guides, economical ones & military ones. But only guides to endgame I have found so far is few quite small ones explaining basics. With this guide i would like to encourage more medium/small sized alliances to run for WW - it is interesting adventure, defending it and offense planning to fight for victory will (hopefully, if you don’t kill each other :P) tighten your team and make you better player.

The basics of this guide was written in 2008 for inside use in alliance and as reference for future servers because yes you do forget things. Back then due to turn of fate I become part of leadership of not big alliance holding WW. And yes, that was my first server. We had to learn fast and furious, we made mistakes, we found new solutions, by trial&error path we solved challenges. And I decided to write down things that we did & things that we should have done. Now after 3 more endgames where one time we came second and one time our WW won and third time we were beaten in to bits and pieces :D, i have updated the guide and fine-tuned it from additional experience. Opinions are welcomed, forgive mistakes and point them out so they can be fixed.

The guide is meant for people with basic travian knowledge, so I use slang freely. Tried to not use purely it and call things in official names, but I don’t think I succeeded. If there is anything requiring clarification, please speak up, ill monitor the thread for some time.
And yes, its for t3. Still some ideas might be applied in t4 I guess too. And I have hope that t3 wont die out ;)

Before it starts...

for alliance running for WW the run for victory starts long before actual endgame. I won’t talk about quad dominationand diplomatical ties, youll need them too, but this is guide on WW and how tobuild it.

Month or two before natars come start to prepare infrastructure.

a) Choose WW holder. Choose backup. I strongly suggest to NOT take WW holder account with WW hammer with serious negative crop. Thologic says there will be many eyes on account, WW is fulltime thing, I grant you, people WILL forget to feed hammer. Also account owner must be ready that account wont be his anymore – the leadership will run the show, sitters will walk in and out, igms will be public domain etc. I must admit, least painful endgame I had was when WW was held by defense account.

Tune their accounts to WW holding -

treasuries in as many cities as possible, hero mansions there and multiple granaries (that will be needed for plans - to hold them (treasuries) to move them from one city to another (hero mansions) and reinforcements hosting (granaries))
Culture points. WW holder will need CP and many of them. I suggest to have them for 3-5 cities. Nothing would be more noobish than get "You don't have enough culture points" message when going after WW village

b) check offenses. You will need to clear natars defenses. They are not best defenders but cleaning them might sting ;) Choose wise armies to use for it - preferably ones where owners have issues with feeding them. Also dont pick alliances fanciest WW hammers - choose black or meat hammers. Remember you wont need rams or catas so keep those rammers and cataers at home. Natars is a chance to use that army that newbie built and offense coordinator forgot to whip him in to shape with more catas. Also, if you have here and there troops, like 10k tts, 20k clubbies – between scraps like that you can arrange natar clearing party quite easily.

Remember you will need to conquer this village so keep senators handy and CPs in offenses ready.

c) Guide overall alliance development to fit endgame needs -

first and most important, educate people about endgame (I assume that alliance has certain level of newbies and noobs,all-elite small alliances usualy do not run for wws and definately dont need guide for that :P) Gather nice collection of videos and screenshots from different WWs so people will get an idea how it is and how essential regular supplies of crop and defense is.
never forget to remind and check if defenders are upgraded. Def below level 20 in armory is just crop eaters waiting to become xp for enemy hero,
run MMs and checkups on marketplaces and trade offices for WW supplies. You'll be surprised to find out how many players have limited ability to move resources around in large amounts.
Remind to save CPs, make settlers for instant clustering around chosen WW spot. faster alliance settles & grows villages there, better it is - faster they will become full scale WW suppliers.(this more aplies to nonspeed server. I havent played ww at speed so cant tell exactly, but i suspect alliance wide settling around ww is less profitable and needed there).

d) talk through and make WW team - sitters and owners. It will greatly vary depending on ww owner you choosed, but ww account needs 24/7 coverage with people on skype. They need to talk same language, not be nuts or crazy and be totaly trusted. Also putting two enemies or players with personal issues between them on ww team is bad bad idea.

Few thoughts on WW holder and their race.

This issue has been discussed here and there, so i wont go in great depths. Just some thoughts :)

What I hear usually is that teuton tribe has strong but not so effective wall, romans has effective wall but paper thin and gauls are average on both. Also there is a concept that people slack on rammers - I wish so! All last servers i have played, there were decent rammers on picture,so dont rely on it.

Well...WW race is about using every advantage you have... And I dont see a single advantage gaul has in WW holder, so for me gaul as WW holder means that alliance leaders or some important player was just pushy and wanted to hold ww despite being a gaul. Or that none wanted it and poor gaul was only one who missed the time to scream NOOOOO and now ended with WW monster on his/her hands.

Now about advantages.

Teuton advantage, hands down, is durability of their wall. It will stand almost no matter what and that is handy bonuses if you expect to have loads of average sized attacks. Low level rammers will die in shame without scratching wall.Teuton is good choice if your oponents are closer to noobs/newbies, if you expect to get a lot of red sworded love. Real drawback of teuton account is the crop - you have to count in cropfields building time in overall infrastructure timeline.

Romana advantage is their ability to build resources and infra same time. It not just lets you to don't waste extra time on cropfield building, but those ironfields are handy to throw off balance enemy. your population will change in such chaotic fashion (especially if you dont build all fields at beggining but build them now and then) that they will beat their heads against keyboard trying to figure out what is going on there and in what state your infrastructure is.Another plus for roman is insane bonuses their wall provides - if you manage to remove rammers out of picture, hammers will die like flies on your wall. (look to how to defend ww offensively for info on how to remove rammers out of picture). Drawback - wall is paperthin... if its down, its down and your def is sitting there bonussless... With artchitects arty roman wall durability is quite higher (but so is teutons)

potential advanced technique.

I havent seen it used, but i have been playing with idea lately... WW needs cropfields too and time needed to get them in proper lvl can cost you victory... So I have been toying with idea to make first roman chief WW, get cropfields up along with infrastructure and then get teuton rechief it to maximize wall durability bonuss. Edited – I have seen it being done ;) there is lot of questions to ask yourself if you consider this technique:

- political layout (you will need ww undefended for some time)

-location of ww (same as above - will enemy be able to sneak in?)

-chiefting penalty – the roman who takes ww should be bigger then final holder – then youll avoid pop-loss when chiefting

-dont waste time on wall at first, it will be lost in rechiefting

etc

One account, two, three WWs.

Lately with artifacts playing such a role in WW race, having 2 and more WWs in one account seems to be new mainstream of travian. I'll be honest, never been on team like this so I cannot share how it is. Logic says that there is surely certain benefit, especially when (a) alliance wants maximize use of unique artifact (b)alliance is low on artifacts and simply don't have enough them to supply all WWholders. As for drawbacks - double all preparation, CP requirements and stress on WW team. Anyone having 2 WW holding experience first hand - please share :)

Natars are here but they cannot be attacked!!!!!

Its time to prepare battlefield.

a) Alliance wide - start immediate settling around desired spot if you choose this path.feed new cities with resources, make donation program to new villages if there is old&developed alliance villages close. Make system to reserve settlingspots.

b) potential WW holder - Its time to check travel times searching for fastest WW village conquering plan. Check WW holder- may be because of distance it need to be someone from backup, not original one. Also – maybe ww holder can chief allied village close to cut travel time.

c) oponents - watch your desired WW surroundings. cata away all potential danger. Last thing you want is enemy teuton with clubbies raiding your WW feeder villages like 2$ circus pony...

d) another thing to discuss if you need it -make raiders citadels around WW. preferably gauls close to WW make TTs ( other tribes- fastest raiders) as hammers are lost there will be many many capitals owerflowing with crop what merchants cannot carry away. in those villages make TS & TO as high as possible so you can raid crop and send to WW.

e) Depots... It is depots developing time. I would like to talk about depots in more depth.

What is depot? Depot is village belonging toWW holder located in next tile to WW (for fancy setup make some 3-5 depot villages in different distances) You NPC res to crop there and showel to WW.

Depots will serve you good and be your best friends when feeding WW. remember no NPC trades in WW village ;(. So you will ask for alliance to send resources to depots and gold them to crop to be sent to WW. Also depots will be primary source of res if you will lack some 100kiron for next ww level.

There is 2 options how to create depots, wich to choose depends on you

- Assigned ww holder settles AT LEAST 2 spots directly adjacent to WW.

- volunteer with high online rate, gold,knowledge and/or ability to follow orders settles there. Now with change of rules the unlimited push aplies just to WW village so you can choose who will own those villages - WW holder who will chief them once developed (benefit -sitter/acc owner has easy access to crop and can use donated gold to NPC) or someone from sitter team or just trusted player (preferably leadership) with high online time setles there and send crop to ww after WW team asks (benefits- skip the mess with chiefting village, maybe evens out gold usage among accounts)

no matter who settles it, the development is pretty the same. You need to turn those villages in black holes of NPC with maximum amount of resource&crop storage capability. My strong suggestion isto pass arty what lets build GWH and GG to player making depots. What to build there? I suggest nice mix of GHWs GGs and WHs and GGs. Aim for overall around 1mill storage of each resource. More to crop. Why mix of great storage buildings and normal ones? enemies will almost 100 % sure send you some cata greetings to those villas. So you want to maintain at least some storage even if all your GGGWH goes puff. Mandatory in those villages - MP and TO to 20. Ask for alliance push in preWW time to those villages so you can get infra ready.

WARNING!

Beware that offense holders & potential WW holder dont get too settling happy!

They will need culture points to get WW village ;)

WW conquering

There are some points to remember:

a) There is no residence in Natars village. There is also no wall at natars ww village.

b)Loyalty in Natars village is lowered same as in any other village. So count senators accordingly. Still... Add some extra, preferably with very small escorting force to arrive before WW holder arrives. That way even if one of them takes village, WW holder will overrun defense & retake it.

Note - dont worry about player from same wing/other wing taking WW - if loyalty is at 0 chiefs will work like charm.

VERY IMPORTANT NOTE - none has cancelled chiefting penalty. So all chiefs who has a chance to chief WW need to be bigger then WW holder (should be like this biggest players chiefs-bigger players chiefs-big players chiefs-WW holders chiefs who is smallest of all in terms of pop)

c) timing... WW village conquering from natars should be timed very very precisely & conquering time have to be TOP SECRET. there is nothing more humiliating than rival galloping in 5 mins after you conquered ww village and reconquering it from you and trust me, if i knew time and would be able to run in time i would simply love to mess rival around like this. Keep it secret & make this conquering to happen fast. Real fast.

d) defending. WW needs to be defended minutes after conquering. but same time asking defenders in that exact time in mass message is bad idea because

there definitely are spies and look at point above
there will be definitely mistakes,reinforcements sent as attacks, reinforcements sent earlier and nicely sniping WWholders-to-be chiefs (btw reinforcements sent to natar village before conquering bounce back).

Take defensive battle group or group of defensive players that you trust most - they will be the ones reinforcing minutes after last chief. Then make alliance wide call for defenses some time after chiefting. You can even change defense arrival time to each alliance wing thus getting some insight in potential info leaks ;)

e)feeding. Remember you will get village that is empty from resources! I don't suggest call alliance wide for resources, it will simply overflow warehouses. Ask same players providing first line of defense & sending hammers to time in few merchants with resources. Call for crop to feed defenders alliance wide. But call small chunks, like >8k crop incoming constantly.

f) Deceit of WW race. There is great deal of PR & deceit in WW race... During WW conquering there is few things that can make your WW look weaker & your alliance more noobs so redirecting other alliances attention away. Cata res fields. Carefully carefully players that have proven that they can time & aim cata attacks include few small hammers with cata shoots to resource fields. DONT TOUCH CROP, you will need it, but rest can be cataed. don't take chances, better cata less then cata something neccessary. Then spread the rumor that you were total NOOBS & during conquering cataed MB, WH, G & cropfields ;)

g) security meassures. This is the point where wiews are polarized. So each time its different. If you have long travel time or due to some reasons come to conquer WW village late... You might want to time in small cata attack aimed to residence & palace. In case if someone just before you get in & kicked up one of those buildings. aim those catas right after cleaners but before senators & resource fields cataers. If there is no residence & palace catapults will take wild shoot &probably damage infrastructure. This is controversional point, so decision is up to you. Alternative - have close player locked and ready and cleaner (even without catas) also ready and ask potential WW holder to send another chief with small cleaner to land in time what those catas and cleaner will need to arrive there. So then if you see that siht has happened and someone snatched your WW -send cleaner and catas before last chiefs. If siht wont happen, chief will justdie on your timed defense.

Travian made lots of changes for heros and so they can make the game more enjoyable. Let us say: you are not a gold player. This account that I am logging on is a gold player but not a plus but a gold club.

How she manage to get those items? Some of the items in the slot that you see, you can get it through adventure. She sold small bandages because she acquired an item thru adventure, a healing breast plate.

Those animals trapped in the cage, they are sent by reinforcements and ready to defend your city. There are some strategies in getting animals though.

Be ready if you are attacking oasis, you can find it here how much points your hero can get.

Alright, alright!!!!! DS-LISMA is my own alliance and I can relate of what is going on inside. Other players thinks that Russians are cheaters. I read a lots of post in the forum. Don't point to anyone :)). Well, their MM is Russian language and tried to translate. Sometimes, I get what they wanted to. They mostly asked defenses, I myself encourage to train defense. I think Germans thought that we have too many defenses. We lost lots of villages as well.

In my own opinion people think like that because that is what they are doing... Aha! Don't tell me that to the one who judge the Russian meta, they are such a righteous person and perfect person ever. No one will be! Only God is perfect if you believe God as your creator. For those Atheist people, am not here to argue of what you believe. OK!

First of all I want to congratulate the Russians for their unquestionable victory. They have shown to be the most powerfull Block of the Server.

But on our Server History Russians have little influence. Our server has focused on a neverending war against Polish. Far than that, it seemed not to happen anything.

To understand the decisions and reactions we had during the Final we have to talk about the Spanish Classificatory. On it there was a try to join all the Alliances in a completed Block. Once again the Spanish prove not to be able to understand between each others and finally de Ñet Proyect blows up, and the classified players went to the Final in three different Blocks.

So, from the beginning, we knew that, with only 200 people it was impossible for us to face the Server as a principal Alliance. But we had the hope of being accepted as an attack/ defend command of a most powerful Block.

TÑT open our accounts on the -/-, where so did Italians, Portuguese, Polish and Turkish . There were also another small Alliances in the zone. French, Croatians etc.

From the beginning it was clear, this wasn’t a normal Server. 25.000 people all together without unactive players became on an absolute chaos in the first month. Everybody was raiding everytime on everyothers and even so, it was nearly impossible to steal anything.

The first victims of this situation were the pros players. They couldn’t change their mind from being the wolf to be part of the cattle. In the first month most of them delete their account and left us.

Behind them the nobs players do the same. Those who played the Classificatory “to learn” were absolutely lost in the middle of that chaos.

We rest two embassys that soon started having problems with the neighbour Alliances. We stablished conversations with most of them. Italians and Portugueses seem to be receptives, but not Polish and Turkeys.

By that time we have founded our second village that immediately was surrounded by at least 7 polish accounts. We try to hold the place fighting alone against them, while founding another 3 villages, but soon was clear it was impossible to stood up in that zone.

That was right when the Portuguese, Polish and Turkeys reached a pact. That, of course helped the Italians and us to reach a pact instantly.

In our account the things were turning so bad, isolated from everybody that we decided to move again to what we were starting calling “The Bunker Zone”. There, a dozen of TÑT accounts were trying to settle in front of a growing number of polish players.

Meanwhile, one of our leaders had deleted his account and left the game, Other one had moved far away from nowhere, set good relationships with everybody relatively near his villages and lived quiet for the whole Server.

At the same time we were been attacked by the friends of those who had personal alliances with him.

This situation forced to other two of the leaders to resign and so there was left only a visible boss for the Alliance.

It was a hard task for us to settle in the Bunker zone. We were surrounded by polish accounts that tried to kick us from there. The second month was terrible. There was little defenses and we had to think very well where to defend and why.

From that month on we took the decision of not going to a direct defense against an enemy’s army, but intercalate all of them. That’s why even when we have been on war the whole Server there was no beautiful reports of attacks or defenses.

Fortunately the polish attacks were quite easy to intercalate and so they had little damage on our villages.

At this situation we offer them our help, thinking on the Wonders, but they refused. I know that it can seem that a dozen of accounts in front of 120 Polish players should not seem to be a great help, nor big problem to be defeated, but after one month of fighting any player should notice the incredible amount of looses they had had.

Of course they had also any success, and some of our players deleted their account and we finally rest 9 TÑT players on the zone. But summarizing they had more and more expensive looses.

Anyway if they seem to not notice this fact their leaders should. They could have think such enormous amount of lost materials in not really profitable attacks was heading them to decrease their growth. But it seems nobody on the Polish side noticed it.

Gregpoland7 conquer one of our villages on the Bunker Zone but with looses over 5 million materials. A couple of weeks later he lost the same village at a companion’s hands with few looses by the side of our mate.

The polish attacks were growing up. Eskander, the most amazing Travian player I have ever seen, was fighting him alone against Devilma&Genek, (“The Travian Proffesional”) his friend Mikomi and Matiteo.

Elizka, (“Elisa” for friends) and Serwiak were attacking day and ninght Libelula. Chri de Wom (”The Housewife”, “Cry Little Worm” or just “The Worm” between us) Pegaz, Plumber, MrEco, Fujin, Tomiro2, BraveHearts, Kanapa, attacked here and there, and for a couple of week the situation turned very uncomfortable.

Rozrabiaki (“Birquiqui”) was wall off three times in our villages in some very strange and crazy attacks.

But, fortunately, by that time their attacks were very predictables and ineffective. Moreover, they didn’t appear to know what the rams are made for. “The Travian professional” set a new Travian World record by loosing 2k trebouchets on the same weekend in three different villages.

Serwiak lost soon half a dozen of thunders on different raids. The Cry Little Worm was wall off for the first time. Tomiro, Pegaz, Plumber, follow him inmediatly.

Eskander continued fighting like a lion against the three of his opponents. If any of his villages was conquered he reconquered that same night or a couple of days later.

Mikomi was finally wall off on an Eskander village and that was the inflexion point when we started having the situation under control. Devilma had lost his off anywhere, not in our villages, so sorry for that, and both friends inmediatly disappeared from the server and never more we here about them.

With them out of the Server war, Matiteo had a testimonial presence from then on.

It was the time we have air enough to start making rounds to their villages that became a complete success.

Elisa continued trying to conquer a village before the Server finish but she never was able to do it. Most of times she tried to do over Libelula, but she also failed on nearly all of the nine accounts on the Bunker Zone. (As I write this she has lost another 5 chieftains more on different villages). She probably has lost over a million materials only in chieftains in the whole server. Not strange if she sends them before the trebouchets or with one hour of time to be intercalated.

She finally got to be wall off, as it couldn’t be otherwise, in one of Libelula’s villages. Then came Pegaz on other Grillo’s village, and The Housewife make so for the second time. We think from then on she left the game because the account change its attack patterns. Or maybe was the only one polish who was able to learn anything from the server.

Anyway we offered them for the second time to collaborate with them in order to be able to fight for the wonders, but for the second time they refuse our offer. I think they should notice at that time we were on a high level of game than they are, and also that all their crazy attacks had small profit for them, but a lot of lost materials. But they didn’t seem at that stage to be thinking on Wonders at all.

Thanks a lot for reading. I know it is long, but there are lots of battles, time, efford and people involved so it´s difficult to make the story short. If you think it´s boring, don´t continue reading, but it continues.

Plumber and the second off of MrEco and BraveHearts disappeared on our villages and the situation became absolutely under control by the time the Wonders Time started.

Our rounds continued without interruption and only the Worm still came to our villages.

When they tried to set a pact with us, we were having so much fun on them that the Wonders didn’t appear to be a comparable fun. Anyway they had not thought on this part of the game on the past and had proven not to be good players who were able to take their Wonder to the 100th level properly.

Our Boss in the other Embassy tried to force us to accept the pact and told us to do it or to leave the Alliance. But in fact we thought he was the one who should leave TÑT and invited him to do it if he was not happy with our behavior.

In fact he had created a different forum for the other embassy, and the last time he wrote in ours had been months before. We have not had any messages from him for months, neither, and all we knew of him was because of what our confused companions told us. It seemed we were the expendable accounts of the Embassy.

So we never sent a defense to the Croatian Wonder, nor materials, nor anything, and even when we “officially” were against Russians, even the people who were suffering attacks from them wanted the USSR Wonders to win the Server.

When MrEco once again prayed us for a pact we immediately sent the Russians the reports we had of the Polish offs in the zone. Maybe they thought it was no confident information, and of course the offs were not quite powerful nor impressive. But anyway they had that information and could have used it in the way they would have wanted.

Of course the Polish Wonder was never on the fight for victory, and all of us celebrated any time the Russians send it down.

Caleño came from 30 hours away to conquer two of the Cry Little Worm villages and to help the nine of us. He settled in the zone in the last two weeks and helped us as much as he could to hold on.

With the server lost Polish started to kill all their troops in our villages. We call that in Spain to attack “in the Pancho Villa’s way”. And two days before finishing the server Fujin, Tomiro, “The courageous” LFC, Pegaz, Matiteo, Mikomi, MrEco, BraveHearts, Elisa, Serwiak one after another killed their armies in our villages.

They seemed to be so interested in Wonders that BraveHearts appeared with his “powerful” army of 40k intact.

Finally we could see where their chaotic diplomacy had taken them to. If they weren't able to see that they could found themselves in such an scenery, it means that their server plan was a total disaster.

In fact it seems they came to the Server with no plan at all.

Reports I will not give. There are, for sure, thousands of more impressive ones, with millions of troops. But what it is true is that for 9 months a group of 9 players, alone and isolated, stood up in front of 120 Polish that were not able to beat them.

And, at the end, not even Russians were as proud and happy as we are.

November 13, 2011 - the first hammer was being released and march to Panjevi WW village. I wished she had a screenshot she shared when her troops marching to the WW village. I wonder if her duals or by herself forgot to feed those troops. Are they all intact? No one ever died when they were on the way to the WW village. Must be exciting to see!

This could be a little twist by the Hamsters alliance if someone tried to send her hammer to the Russian WW village. Now, this hammer could be put to waste if it is not sent. So, she was just sending it to Panjevi again and finish him off. Well, whatever the other side doing in the race. When you see the stats of the race. Russian WW holders are on the lead.

This is the third battle report. Lovely Xenia herself shared this to me when I was asking her for a battle report. I honestly dont know when she smashed her troops. :))

Alright, I will make something a little side trip on this post. I have no idea of what is the best plan for the USSR meta because their messages are in Russian. I wished I understands it. Well, During the capturing of the WW village, the USSR made an excellent move. They really have a plan of capturing all Natars villages but they just needed resources and time to do that. The good thing, they manage to take 7 WW villages. Other players define it the USSR is blocking other WW in the race. They did not get the real picture. I guess in my alliance DS-LISMA, I think we are the defender alliance since a lot of messages asking defense to send to this player.

Well, if you are going to think about it. If any other meta laid a big plan on winning the game. They could outsmart the USSR meta. Let us just put it this way. It is a game and Let us make some fun :))

Bea is at First Championship Server

Ok ok, it is my own blog and I can post anything I like.. And OHHHHH.. if you like me to post anything feel free to contact me. No worries.... as long as it is related to the game :))

So.. THIS IS ME!

Alright, I just wanna make it clear. I like to write a little story in my account in the first Championship Server. Whoa! At first I was so excited to land in the SW together with my friends from the pre-qualification round. When I received the code for registering the server. I felt the excitement. But then all failed when the server is 4 weeks old since the start. My duals were so excited but then we were caught up with our real life busy-ness... When we are going to choose- the game or real life/work and all that. We first choose real life huh!!!!! Travian will not give us money to run our budgets at home :))

Back: The HTT Alliance that I was on, it was falling apart. We just needed a diplomat to deal all the different alliances around. I noticed right away the German players and I have a big problem with them. They did not tried to attack me yet but I know that when I am getting bigger they will start to attack me and grabbed my villages which is away from my spawn village.

I talk to Guthank and we decided to join to the Russian alliance. Some of our co-mates, they joined to Germans. I have no problems to join to the Germans but I like to be with Guthank. We both came from .com but playing with the Russians. It is not bad at all. We were being hit by the German players. Too bad hit. My villages were conquered and I have only one village left to the coords that we called it stronghold. I settled near to Guthank and so I can make defense for him but when he got hit together with mine. We both got toasted. I never never been tried someone took my village. The feelings... I was angry though but I could not do nothing.

So, I sent message to my leader Purgaz/Vital that I am going to delete but then he asked me not to but stay until the end. So I was asking him to help me running in my account by putting two sitters in my account.

I feel sad why he name my village Cheater wins :((

Awwww!! after he took one of my village in the last hour, all my defense live on that village were gone.

Alright my account became so helpful to players that needed crops. I only train troops started September last week and then stopped it again since I was still on vacation for two months. So, when we came home from the states. October 17th, I tried to train defense for the WW and or send it to the players that needed defense. My account became boring- small account and simmer. But the nice thing, I was with the winning team. That is the up side button :P:P

First Championship Is Finished

From the start of the game, there were more than 27k players registered and some of them did not survived in the battle and ended of deleting ther accounts. To those players that stayed until the end. Congratulations! I know it is pretty hard to play for a server that is too crowded.
